You should be able to do this by applying the outline-numbered list that has
1, 1.1, 1.1.1, etc. Customize the list by adding a zero after the number in Level 1. See http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/numb...Numbering.html for more. -- Suzanne S. Numbering (auto)
Hi,
I still can't get it to work. If I have 1.0 (level 1), then on a new line have 1.1, the third line changes to 2.1. ..I'm not sure what I am doing wrong? Thanks Amanda "Suzanne S. Assuming that "1.1" and "2.1" are both level 2, I'd say that the previous
level (level 1) and the current level (level 2) numbers are in the wrong order. In the Customize Outline Numbered List dialog box, click level 2, delete the contents of the "Number format" box, and then recreate them: Reinsert the "Previous level number," type the period, and add the number for the current level via the "Number style" box. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Amanda" wrote in message ...
