Default foreign language proofing tools setup in MS Word: Mac

After spending hours trying to follow all the given help instruction, my
situation seems hopeless. The MS Help service and other googled Websites
tell me to change the language in the Tools menu. My Tools menu in Word does
not have this "Language" option! I've tried adding dictionaries under
Preference, but this does not work.

The only application in the MS Office:Mac version X in the suite to offer
the language selection under Tools is Entourage and after installing the
language proofing tools I am able to use the German spell-check there.

Can anyone help get the foreign language proofing tools setup in Word?!

Thanks in advance!

Hi--

Uncheck View | 5.1 menus, your Tools | Language will re-appear. Like magic!

Much information on that and on spellchecking in MacWord at this link:

If you still have questions, it would be better to post them on the
MacWord dedicated newsgroup--there is a lot of traffic on this group and
it's easy for the few mac users to miss your posts, though thankfully
you put the version in the subject line. Anyhow, see here for

I bow to you you, Daiya Mitchell. How well you know this software. My
problem is, of course, solved!
