Default Styles not carried from normal.dotm to blank doc

I deleted a style from my normal.dotm, and have checked it is nowhere to be
found. However, when I open a new (blank) document, it is still appearing.

I have tried saving the normal.dotm as a style set, and then changing to it
in the blank and saving as default, but it is still appearing.

Any ideas?

It seems as if something is preventing the Normal template from being saved.
A work-around is to *Open* the normal.dotm file (via the Open dialog box),
delete the style, and then save the template. For a possible permanent
solution, see http://www.gmayor.com/lose_that_adob...at_toolbar.htm.
