Default Make 1st 0 show in Word mail merge from Excel data source?

Although I've got zip codes in Excel 2007 database showing properly, when I
do a mail merge in Word 2007, the first 0 in the zip codes have disappeared.
I have formated the zip code column in Excel as text and the 0 s appear there.
Thanks so much for your help!

See the zip code section of "Formatting Word fields with switches" on fellow
MVP Graham Mayor's website at
