What EXACTLY are you trying to do?

If you are using Word 2007, clear the "Show all windows in the Taskbar"
option in Office button | Word Options | Advanced category.

The corresponding option in Word 2003 ("Windows in Taskbar") is on the View
tab of Tools | Options.
