Default Turn of Track Changes

Is there a way to make sure the recipient of a document cannot see the
changes that have been made to the document? So they can see only the final
version?

The _only_ way is to accept or reject all changes and/or comments in the
document (click the down arrow of the Accept or Reject button in the
reviewing toolbar and choose the All option, or go through them one at a
time). If you want to keep the tracking for your own use, then use Save As
to save the cleaned copy as a separate file with a different name. Send out
only the cleaned copy.

In Word 2007 you can use the Document Inspector (on the Office button
Prepare menu). It will find the tracked changes (along with any other
personal items you might want to remove) and offer to remove them.

The only way to ensure this is to accept all the changes (and delete all the
comments) before sending the document. See
