word files collapse
When I am working with more than one Word file open, switching back and forth
between them, and most often when I am restoring them from the bottom toolbar, the files automatically close. Why? Normally Word recaptures them but it's inconvenient and I'd like to know why. |

If you have Word 2002 or 2003, then it's probably the bug in Word's
handwriting recognition feature. See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=555169 "WD: Word Quits Unexpectedly When Selecting a Document from the Windows Taskbar" for more information. If you mean Office XP, that includes Word 2002.
