Default Append and extract pages from a Word document

Currently all versions of Word only allow for cut/copy and paste from other
documents to add or delete content from a file.

You can use Insert Object to insert a file (which I believe, acts as an OLE
object) but is still not the same as appending or extracting.

If would make document and form creation much, much simplier if the pages in
any document were singular in that any page could be dropped wholly from one
document to another, as many desktop programs already do, including Adobe PDF.

Word is not a DTP application. "Pages" is something that are created
dynamically at run-time with the current body text, taking into account
the section(s) properties, installed fonts, and a whole bunch of options
(print, compatibility, etc.).

I'm only saying that what you're asking is basically calling for a
different application alltogether.

Robert: I agree that WORD is not a DTP, but PUBLISHER also leaves a lot to
be desired. I develop form templates in a form intensive industry that deals
with major companies all over the world as well as some big government
agencies and used by engineering types. Many companies all over the world
use Word as their forms development tool. Being a Word processing program
often makes forms development really, really difficult, especially in the
area of being able to append and extract. My hope was that Microsoft would
take this to heart and look at merging some of the features from DTP. There
is a very big market for this type of change. Lynny
