Default Handwriting recognition

I have installed the handwriting recognition as said in the help files.
However on opening microsoft word/excel there is no icon or link for starting
the handwriting recognition mode. I use Microsost windows XP with office
2003. the language settings do not seem to show any way to enable the
handwriting recognition mode.

G'Day Kriyad,

To the best of my knowledge, the features you refer to are NOT
part of Office, but of Windows Xp itself.

Right-click the (Windows) Task bar, point to "Toolbars", then click
"Language bar".

Then right-click the Language Bar (on the Task bar) and choose
"Restore the Language bar". You may then position it anywhere
convenient on the Screen.

Start Word.

Click the "Handwriting" button and select the option you want.

These tools work, not only with Office, but a number of other
programs. You will see the "Handwriting" button ONLY when
running such a program.

I have installed a USB "tablet" that I am using to write this reply in
Outlook Express (only to show off, of course!).
