Straight quotes not being replaced with smart quotes
I have it turned on to replace them automatically but it won't do it, even
using the normal style. Any ideas why? |

Are you possibly using a font that doesn't have the curly-quote
characters at all? If you type (using the regular keyboard) 201c followed by Alt-X, and 201d followed by Alt-X, do you see the curly quotes? (Those are the Unicode codes for those characters.) Some old fonts, and many display fonts, don't include them. On Oct 8, 10:36*am, Tony Law wrote: I have it turned on to replace them automatically but it won't do it, even using the normal style.
