Default tabs get mixed-up when mail/fax from Word

When we send an .doc document from within MSWord 2003 to a mail-recipient
(via MSExchange5.5) the tabulations are lost. Same when sending to a
faxination software via the MSExchange server.
This results in figures that are no longer correctly aligned.

When sending the document as an attachment in the mail then everything is
correctly aligned. Sending the document from within MSWord97 is also working
fine.

I've changed the settings in the optionscompatibility tab but nothing seems
to help.

any help is appreciated?
