I am trying to create a form that will automatically insert hyphens between a
set of numbers such as a telephone number or social security number or
employee ID number. Is there a word function to do this or were can I go to
find the information to make this work.

thanks

No, you need to be using a protected form. See
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...nTheBlanks.htm and especially
the forms tutorials by Dian Chapman that this article links to.
