Watermark troubleshooting
I am working on a document that has headers and footers. It originally had a
watermark, and also is set so that the first page is different, as I don't want the header of footer displayed. However, when I removed the watermark, it stayed on the first page. I have tried changing it back so the header and footer are displayed on all pages including the first, then double checking all water marks are removed. But as soon as I change it back to "Different first page" the water mark reappears. I tried cutting and pasting the first page into a different document. The watermark disappears, but when you paste back into the original document, the watermark reappears. I tried cutting and pasting the whole document but the watermark copies and pastes as well. Why has this happened and what can I do about it? |

Did you open both the first and subsequent page headers and delete it from
both? -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Becky Coates wrote: I am working on a document that has headers and footers. The watermark wasn't in the header. I don't think (This isn't actually my
story, its what happened to someone at my work today. I can normally figure most of the office issues out, but this had me stumped). I will have to check tomorrow. If it wasn't in the header, do you have any other ideas what it might be? If it is not in the header (which is where it should be) then it will be
inserted behind the text. In order to select a graphic inserted behind the text you need to use the white arrow selector on the drawing toolbar. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Becky Coates wrote: The watermark wasn't in the header.
