Default Mail Merge Number Format

Hello,

I have a mail merge where the source data is in Excel. I am bringing in a
dollar amount of $19,890.22 that's rounded to two decimal places within
Excel. When I bring this amount into the Word mail merge, I get
19890.222222222222.

How do I get the numerical format in Excel to show up in my Word mail merge?

Thanks for your help.

Scott

Default Mail Merge Number Format

Toggle the field display (ALT+F9) from fieldname
to
{Mergefield Fieldname}
Add a formatting switch eg {Mergefield Fieldname \# "$,0.00}
then F9 to update.
Alt+F9 to toggle the display again.
