Lost document when auto update
I left a document on the screen but it was not saved. Over night my PC
updated and did an auto restart. When I logged in this morning the document was not there. Is this lost or has it been saved somewhere? |

Lost document when auto update
If the document was never saved there is nothing to recover, so you are
probably out of luck. Note that Word *does not* save documents automatically. If Word crashed there might be AutoRecover (*.asd) file left on disk, but the chances are small. You may want to read these articles: http://word.mvps.org/faqs/general/AutomaticSave.htm and http://www.gmayor.com/automatically_backup.htm. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "benbuilder" wrote in message ...
