Adding Hyperlink to documents > 100 pages - Headings Expanded Prob
When inserting a hyperlink to a Heading in the current document. Word 2000
brings up the list of headings compressed. You then expand the tree sections to find the heading you want. This works great when you have several hundred headings to look through. Takes about 5 seconds. In Word 2003, when you are installing a hyperlink to a "Heading" in the current document, it brings up the list of "Headings" expanded. If you have several hundred "Headings" at all 9 levels, this is a disaster. You can take a couple of minutes to compress tree after tree to get to a short list. But this takes about 3 to 4 minutes or longer. QUESTION: When adding hyperlink to header in existing document, need a way to view the Header List compressed. Then you can expand each branch of the Header tree to get to the Header you want. == Or, need a key command to collapse the tree, so you can start from a compressed tree of "Headers". Command path: Insert | Hyperlink | "Place in this document" | "Select a place in this document" ==== at this point, expanded list of "Headers" in document |
