Default Set Defaults "No double spacing"

I would like to change the Style from Normal to "NO SPACING" evertime I start
Word 2007. I tried The Stles and Formatting task pane. I tried "Modify" I
click the "single" space key, and also the "New Documents based on this
template".
It saved the style for the document that I have changed, but when I start a
new document it goes back to Normal (double spacing) Can you help.

Default Set Defaults "No double spacing"

In the Styles pane, click the Manage Styles button. Click the Set Defaults
tab. Choose the settings for font, indentation, and spacing that you want.
In particular, you should set line spacing to "Single." Click "New documents
based on this template" and then click OK.

Stefan, Sorry I am new at 2007. Still not following what to do. Could you
please do a step by step on "no double spacing" everything time I open up
Word?

Default Set Defaults "No double spacing"

In the Styles pane (Ctrl+Alt+Shift+S), click the Manage Styles button (at
the bottom--it's the one on the right of three buttons); in the Manage
Styles dialog box, click the Set Defaults tab. Under "Paragraph Spacing,"
set "Before" and "After" to zero, change "Line spacing" to "Single." Click
"New documents based on this template," and click OK. If/when Word prompts
you to change the template, choose to do so.
