Default Picture Won't Paste

When I copy a picture and try to paste it into a Word document, all I get is
a "scrunched-up" line. Why won't my pictures "paste" into Word ?

Make sure the paragraph you paste it into has Single (not Exactly) line
spacing.

Interesting article, but didn't solve the problem.

Then you will have to give us more information. Does this happen in a
particular document, or in all documents? Where from are you copying the
picture? Does it display correctly in the clipbook viewer?

It generally happens in a blank (new) documents (which is what I usually
start with). An example is going to clipart on line (Microsoft's clip art
libarary) and copying a particular item after it has been downloaded into
the clipart library (clipbook viewer?). Yes, it displays just fine outside
of the document I'm trying to paste it into.

Empty your temporary cache... In Internet Explorer, tools, Internet options,
delete, delete files.
