I created a TOC which works, but the hyperlinks don't work. When I
press Ctrl + (click on item in TOC) all it does is bring up Windows
explorer. Also, if I right click on the item in TOC it does not let me
edit the hyper link. Instead, I have to click on edit fields and then
select hyperlink. How do I fix this?

The shortcut (right-click) menu and Edit Field are working as designed. To
edit the field directly, you must Alt+F9 to display the field code. When you
hover over the TOC entry, what does the ScreenTip say? If you have
Ctrl+click disabled, a simple click may suffice. Or it may be that the TOC
doesn't have entries hyperlinked but only the page numbers; what version of
Word is this?
