Default WORD2003 loses "Create Adobe" toolbar icons each PC start-up

I have newly installed office2003 on my PC, which runs XPpro. I also have
adobe6pro installed. Although powerpoint and excel are fine, word loses the
"create adobe" icon from the toolbar (and from 'file' drop-down options) each
time I shut down and restart my PC. The only way to fix this at present is to
run the adobe CD in 'repair' mode each time I restart. This is a nonsense
(and never happened with office 2000 or office XP) - how do i fix it?

Do you have the add-in in the correct startup folder? See

Hi,
I'd already seen that message and checked that things were OK - they appear
to be so (i.e. the right file in the right folder and macro protection to
medium.
Thanks for the idea - any more??
