Don't open the template, create a new document based on the template. Then
the CreateDate field in the template will update. -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://www.mvps.org/word which is awesome! --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- This message is posted to a newsgroup. Hi,
According to the user this is not acceptable because it works on other machines by opening up the template and it worked that way on his old machine. Thanks, Eric "Charles Kenyon" wrote: Don't open the template, create a new document based on the template. Good luck. That you user wants to use templates in a way that they are not
designed for is up to that user.
