Default Linking of documents

I have few documents in a folder. I want to link them together , in such a
way that i will have the header and footer intact for each document, but at
the same time the page number is increased accordingly. And i want to generate
table of contents for the same.

Default Linking of documents

In each of the documents to be combined, insert a continuous section
break at the beginning and at the end. Save and close the files. Then
open the target document and insert each of the source documents via
InsertFile: In the Insert File dialog box, locate the file, click the
Arrow next to Insert, and choose to "Insert as Link". See "Preserving
section formatting when using Insert + File" in the article at
http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting...thSections.htm . Finally,
insert your table of contents in the target document.
