Default how do you set the "widow" control

I would like to set Widow control on paragraphs in Word 2007. That is, I do
not want the last line of a paragraph alone at the top of a page, but I do
not mind having the first word of a paragraph alone at the bottom of the
page. Is this possible?

Nope. Widows and orphans are set by the same check box on the Line and Page
Breaks tab of Format Paragraph.
