I would like to change all the tabs throughout the document, and not just one
tab here or there. How do I get MSW to make this change throughout?

If you go to Format | Tabs. You can clear all the tabs that are already in
the document and reset them. You can change the default tab from .5" to
whatever you want.

Ctrl+A to select the entire document before you change the tab settings. Or
modify the tab settings in the style(s) in use.
