Automatic Update Styles not updating
I have a template where I've created a bunch of custom styles. When I go
into the template and change the font of the parent style, not all the custom styles update. That's one problem. The second problem is that lists (i.e.) 1. Text (a) More Text (i) Even More Text While all the same font to start out with, change (partly correctly). I change the font of the parent style and the text of my outline changes to what I've selected (Verdana), but the font of the actual numbering changes to (Calibri). I don't use Calibri anywhere so I'm not sure where this is coming from. The third problem is that all the documents that I have attached this style to must be in RTF format and I think that is why the Automatically Update Document Styles checkbox will NOT stay ON in my documents. Is there a way to force it to stay on? The fourth problem is that, when I change the font in my template, the styles used in a particular document in the template update beautifully, but when I open the document (and I have select Automatically Update Document Styles manually because it won't stay on), everything updates beautifully except one paragraph style - even though this same style updates beautifully in the template and Automatically Update is selected in the style itself. Help! Please? |
