Default Windows 2007

It appears the built in default is to have line numbering in Word documents.
I would like for the default to be NO numbering. Is this possible..

Thanks..

No, this is not the default. I'm not sure how it could have become enabled
in your copy of Word, but it's easy enough to change. Create a new Blank
Document. Without making any other changes, go to the Layout tab of Page
Setup, click on Line Numbers..., clear the box for "Add line numbering,"
click OK, then click Default..., and answer yes to the ensuing dialog.
