Default My Date Insert Function in Office XP prints {DATE\@"MMMM d, YYYY"

When I use my Insert Function ie Date my printer will print {DATE\@"MMMM d,
yyyy"}. This occurs in spite of the WYSIWYG showing the actual date.
Similarly when I insert a Postal Barcode on an envelope the WYSIWYG displays
the Barcode and the Printer prints "BARCODE ENV_ZIPCODE\b\u/."

I have uninstalled & reinstalled Office XP and ran Detect and Repair from
the Word Help Menu without success.

Does anyone out there have any solutions?

In Word, click on Tools | Options | Print tab | uncheck the
"Field codes" box | OK.

Press Alt+F9 to toggle the display from field codes (what you're seeing) to
field results.
