Default Urgent Help

My child just did a final save on a 16 page assignment due tommorrow. They
have been saving throughout the process. This time it had an ownership
problem, and then we have 3 rescued text files with it. When we open, we get
error reports. When we try auto recover open, the document appears blank but
has 7819 characters and is to big to view - not enough memory. We have no
hard copy. Word also had auto save - but I cant recover. I have tried the
open & repair - but that option is not on my computer!! I installed premium
repair and detect but nothing happened

Please help if any one can

If the machine has not been turned off you maybe able to find a .tmp file on
the same directory that the original file is on.
The file may look something like this ~WRL3491.tmp.
..tmp files are hidden files so you may have to change the Folder settings to
show hidden files. If you do see these files lookm for one that has similar
file size to the original and time close to when the file crashed. You should
be able to Open With - Microsoft Word to recover the file in hopefully as
near complete condition.
Best of luck.

Thanks - the final temp file keeps coming up with a send error report, but I
was able to get one from an earlier save - better than nothing

At least you got something. One comment these files are not being saved on a
mem-stick or moveable media are they? Word does not like opening, working, or
saving its files on anything other than the PC hard-drive.
Best of luck to you and your ankle-biter ;-)
