Default Changing Margins in Word - Making it Smaller

I have a word document that is 120 pages long. The basic format is like this:

This is a test. This
is a
test. This is a test. This
is a test
This is a test
This is a test This is a test
This
is a Test.

It goes on and on for 120 pages like this. I want to be able to change it to
look normal, and like this.

This is a test. This is a test.This is a test.This is a test.This is a
test.This is a test.This is a test.This is a test.This is a test.This is a
test.This is a test.This is a test.This is a test.This is a test.This is a
test.This is a test.This is a test.This is a test.This is a test.This is a
test.This is a test.This is a test.This is a test.This is a test.This is a
test.This is a test.This is a test.

How do I do this?

Thanks

Hello-

The example in your post suggests that this is _not_ a margin problem. Just
to double-check, though, go to FilePage Setup & see what the margins are
currently set to. Change them if necessary.

More likely the file's content came from a text editor or some other source
where line breaks were abundantly entered. The first step in confirming that
is to turn on 'non-printing' characters by clicking the Show/Hide button (¢Ò)
on the Standard Toolbar. You will most likely see ? or ¢Ò at the end of each
line.

Those are probably causing the line breaks and will have to be
removed/replaced with spaces, punctuation, etc.

Report back what you find, as there may be a way to automate their removal.

That is correct. They are emails that I pasted into word. Do you think there
is an automated way to fix this.

Thanks.

You can handle it with Find & Replace... click the 'More' button, then click
'Special' and choose Manual Line Break (^|) in the Find field and type a
space in the Replace field. This is just one technique, but if you follow the
link provided by Suzanne in her reply to your original post you will find
some excellent suggestions.
