I have set up a series of formatting Styles in a Word document and want them
to be accesible to other users in my office. Is there a way of sharing Styles between documents? Surely there is a better system than always having to re-create the styles in each document? And preferably not the low-tech method of 'Saving As' and copying/pasting all the text? I know that Adobe products allow one to Import Styles but haven't found this feature yet in Word. |

Styles can be copied. The low-tech method you describe can often be
quickest, though. Take a look at http://addbalance.com/word/movetotemplate.htm#Styles or http://addbalance.com/usersguide/styles.htm#Organizer for instructions on using the Organizer to copy styles. See http://addbalance.com/word/movetotemplate.htm for step-by-step instructions on moving / sharing / copying / backing-up customizations including AutoText, AutoCorrect, keyboard assignments, toolbars, macros, etc. -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/ which is awesome! --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- This message is posted to a newsgroup.
