Default Header will not come up on document page.

When I try to open my header and footer to insert information, the footer
comes up fine but the header will not come up at all. I have checked all the
usual pages, page set-up, etc, but have no idea why the header will not show.

This can be an indication of document corruption; see

Thanks Suzanne. I will check into this. I believe this document originally
was an email attachment so that may be the problem. I tried to copy and
paste the document (minus the last paragraph mark) and still no header. So, I
created a new document put a header and footer on it and then copy and pasted
the document onto it and it worked to get the header and footer but it
removed my number formatting. Obviously there is a corrupte code somewhere in
the document.

Moving numbering from one document to another is rarely successful even
without any issue of corruption. It helps if you have used styles for
numbered paragraphs and firmly linked the number format to the styles.
