Default Accidently Deleted Files

I realize it was my own mistake that accidently deleted an important file of
mine, but I need to retrieve it. Is there any way to retrieve a deleted file
that was not saved?

Any help at all will be GREATLY appreciated.

If it wasn't saved, what are you going to retrieve? Sorry.

I was unsure if Word might have a copy of it somewhere, as it often does when
an unsaved file is lost due to technical errors. A copy is usually
retrievable during those times.

First, try not to use the computer any more than absolutely necessary
until you get the software you need. Every time Windows or any program
writes or updates any file, you risk having the data of the deleted
file overwritten and made unrecoverable.

Preferably using another computer, search on Google for "undelete".
There are many programs available, some free and others at modest
cost, that can try to recover deleted files. (Disclaimer: I've never
used any of these programs, so I can't recommend any specific one.) It
would be best to get one that can run from a disk or USB drive without
having to install the program on the drive that contains the deleted
file, again to try to avoid overwriting the data.
