Table of Contents don't reflect tracked changes in document
I have a word 2000 document that I have tracked changes on. "Tracked Changes"
need to be reflected on the Table of Contents and Table of Figures but when I update the Table of Contents and list of tables ALL the text is in red rather than just the pages I made changes to. How do I get the Table of Contents to reflect highlighted in red the changes when I update it? Is this possible? I've looked everywhere I can think of for help. All suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!!! Barb. |

Hi Barb
I don't believe that it's possible to do what you want. The reason is that the TOC is itself a field. When the field is updated, Word recognizes the change *in the field*, not the individual changes in the field results. So it marks the field itself has having changed. Hope this helps. Shauna Kelly.
