Trouble with simple Find/Replace
I'm editing a long document in Word 2003. I want to replace all occurrences
of "P:" with "Paul:". In the Find box I put "P:" (without the quotes) and in the Replace box I put "Paul:". But instead of "Paul:", what I get is "PAUL:". I've checked the formatting and it is NOT "All caps". Also, when the "P:" is bold and italics, I get a bold and italic "PAUL:". (I'm a pretty experienced user of Word, but I don't ever remember seeing anything like this.) What's going on? Thanks. |

Trouble with simple Find/Replace
Hi Eric,
In the Find & Replace dialog, click the [More] button and select the 'match case' option. In your example both characters, P & : are 'shifted' characters. ======== "Eric" wrote in message ...
