Change January 1, 2008 to 01/01/2008 automatically in a form
I'm creating a form and want the user to be able to type the date in valid
date format and have the form automatically change to the MM/DD/YYYY format. Is this possible? |

Change January 1, 2008 to 01/01/2008 automatically in a form
If you are using a form with formfields then unprotect the form, dblclick
the fields, change field type to "Date" and define the the format in the "Date format" field. You can type in valid formats that don't appear in the list. Thank you for responding so quickly. Please allow me to go into further
detail about this situation to make sure what you are suggesting will work. I am setting up the form, sending the word document electronically to other users who will then enter the information electronically and then print the final product. I would like for them to be able to enter any valid date format and for the form to print only the MM/DD/YYYY format. I will not see the electronic form again - only the hard copy. Will this still work? AFAIK it will work as long as the user exits the field.
