Default centre text and change address from left to right

I used to be able to find an icon to change my address from the right to the
left and centre things, but this icon seems to have disappeared on Office
2003 and I wonder if anyone knows either how I can get it back or how do I do
it without this icon

The paragraph alignment buttons are on the Formatting toolbar by default. If
you don't have your Standard and Formatting toolbars displayed on two rows
and haven't used these buttons recently, they won't be displayed unless you
click the arrows at the end of the toolbar. The best approach is to display
the toolbars on two rows (and disable adaptive menus), but you can also use
the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+R for right alignment and Ctrl+E for center
alignment.

If the buttons are actually missing from the toolbar, you can add them back
by clicking the down arrow at the end of the toolbar and choosing Add or
Remove buttons. Choose Formatting, then click on the buttons you want to
add.

You've probably just lost your formatting toolbar. Right-click in the gray
area at the top of your Word window. A list of toolbars should appear. Click
"Formatting."

If that doesn't work, or if the formatting toolbar is already displayed, you
might need to either (1) reposition the formatting toolbar by dragging it to
a location where all the icons have room to appear, or (2) customize the
toolbar to add that icon back to it.

I hope this helps.

I didn't know you could use that down arrow to add buttons. I learn something
new every day. I always thought I needed to go down to "Customize" to add new
buttons.

You can add *some* buttons that way. Customize obviously has a larger
selection. If you look at the list, you'll (probably) see that some of the
items are unchecked, some have checks in an orange box, and some are dimmed,
with a check in blue box. Those last indicate ones that have been added to
the toolbar that are not part of the built-in "menu" of options. Among those
that are not available for Formatting (but which I have on my toolbar) are
Strikethrough, Double Underline, All Caps, and the like.
