How do I import a word data form into a works data base?
Hi ?B?cGV6ZmFybQ==?=,
I have data in a Word data form (Word in WorksSuite 2000) and want to convert it to a Works Database. There has to be way to do this. Mmmm. Been a long time since I've seen a Works database, but... Insert each merge field, in sequence, into a Word document with nothing else in it. Between each merge field, press the TAB key; at the end of the line press ENTER. Set the mail merge TYPE to "Catalog". Execute the merge to a new document. You should end up with something like this Jon[TAB]Doe[Tab]New York Jane[TAB[Brown]Boston Save this document as "plain text". You should be able to import it into the Works database as the type "delimited text file".
