Default Multiple Alignments on the Same Line

I am trying to set up a cost sheet with multiple items. It has traditionally
been done in a page layout program, but want to set it up in word. Here is an
example of what I'm doing:

Item 1................................................. .........$25.37
Item 2................................................. .......$345.08

The problem is that I want to have the items on the left, left-aligned and
then exactly align the decimal points on the right , while connecting the two
elements with a dot-leader.

Can this be done in Word?
Any help is greatly appreciated
Thanks
