How do I change Word content when .dot file included changes?
I have some Word documents that were based on a template I think. I have
made changes to these templates (.dot files), but the content of the word docs that "contain" those templates aren't changing and I don't know why? |

Any content in a template gets transferred to a document based on that template *only* at the time of creation. There is no mechanism (other than copy/paste) to alter the document content when the template changes. Things that do get updated when the template changes include styles, AutoText entries (which are stored only in templates, never in documents), and macros, toolbars, and keyboard shortcuts that are stored in the template.
