I have a problem with numbering associated with one particular level. Using
the Shauna Kelly page I got a good start but level three does not increment
as it should. Checking I noticed that in the number format window numbers are
normaly displayd with a grey background. In level 3 the last number does not
have this and the sequence I get is 1.1.1 - 1.2.1 - 1.3.1 So far I have not
found how to correct this.

Delete the 1, which is clearly typed in as text, and use the "Number style"
setting to insert a number field. But you'll have better luck if you just
start with the second pane of the List Gallery on the Outline Numbered tab
(reset to the default), which already has the numbering sequence you want.
