I have to complete a printed form on a regular basis so decided to create a
template which I could use to type in Word and then print onto the printed
form.

The typing area consists of the middle third of an A4 sheet - on both sides.

I made the template (with top margin 10.97 cm, bottom margin 8.0, sides 2.5
cm) showing the typing area as a one-cell table, fixing the height of the
table row as exactly 8.4 cm. This works out fine. As I have to fill in the
same space on the reverse, I inserted a new section and copied the one-cell
table.

Is it possible to link the two tables, rather like text boxes, so that when
Side 1 is full the typing jumps immediately to Side 2? Or would I have been
better using some sort of form? Or maybe some other method?

I'd be grateful for any advice as I am not really too familiar with forms.

Hi Anne,

You can't link tables -- only text boxes can do that trick. Just use text
boxes instead of the tables, and link them.

Unless the table cells contain form fields, which I was assuming, though on
rereading I see that Anne mentions a form but not form fields, so I suppose
text boxes would fill the bill after all.
