Default Formatting documents independant of the printer

Dear Wordexperts,

we are using MSWord 11 on different Computers in a workgroup.

Several people are working after each other on a word document, having
different printers (different printer types !) and the document looks
different depending on what printer is the default printer for each
user. (WYSIWYG)

Is there a possibility to set up Word to use the same page layout on
every printer used, so the page looks the same independent of the
printer used ?

Regards

F. Will

You can install a "common" printer on all of the PC's and if the user
selects that Printer under FilePrint, the document should appear the same
to all. It is not necessary for the printer to be actually connected to the
PC.

Hope this helps.

For some tips, see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/TextReflow.htm. Be
sure that the Compatibility Option to "Use printer metrics to lay out
document" is not checked; I'm told this makes the document more
device-independent.
