Default Open Word 2000 without new page

Windows 98/Word 2000

I have just moved to another PC where Word opens with a new page. On my
previous PC, I had it to open with no page but can't remember how I achieved
it. Can you help, please?

Add the /n switch to the shortcut used to start Word.

Sorry Suzanne, I don't know what you mean by "n switch". Would you please
explain a little further? Thanks!

See “WD: Word Startup (Command-Line) Switches and Their Purpose”
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=210565

Also see Word's built-in Help topic "Control what happens when you start
Word" or "Customize how Word starts."
