Default Word 2002 Installation

I've just installed Word 2002 but there are no icons on the desktop and I
can't see how to access the program.

You can hit Start--Programs, and it should be listed there. At very least,
you can create a desktop shortcut by doing a search on your hard drive for
winword.exe. When you find it, right-click it and hit Send to--Desktop
(create shortcut).
