Default page numbering for MS Word

Dear,

Since it is not possible to start pagenumers counting (from 1) on the second
page (at least as far as I know), I would like to suggest to improve this
feature in next versions of MS WORD.

It often occurs that one would like to make a report completely in MS WORD,
but has to exclude the titelpage, simply because there is no option to start
count pagenumbers from on the second page.

Kind regards,

Robert B.

Actually, it is possible to accomplish what you are asking for. One
way is to insert a section break at the end of page 1, and then add
page numbers to the second section. See
http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting...rontMatter.htm.

Alternatively, if you are not printing duplex, you could simply enable
"Different first page" on the Layout tab of FilePage Setup, set
page numbering to start at 0, and insert the page number field in the
main footer (or header).
