formatting of linked Excel text
Hi All
I have a word document containing a link (unformatted text) from a cell in an Excel file. In Word, I have formatted this text to be a specific way. The length of text in the cell changes when I update the data. When there is a large amount of text in the cell, only the first few words are formatted in the proper way. I hope this makes sense. It is a problem I have been working with for a while. Any help is appreciated. Thanks Nick |

Right click the link field. Toggle the data and you get a display something
like: { LINK Excel.Sheet.8 "D:\\My Documents\\Test\\Filename.xls" "Sheet1!R3C1" \a \f 4 \h} Add a charformat switch { LINK Excel.Sheet.8 "D:\\My Documents\\Test\\Phones.xls" "Sheet1!R3C1" \a \f 4 \h \*charformat} then F9 to update and toggle the field display back again. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Nick Turner wrote: Hi All I have a word document containing a link (unformatted text) from a cell in an Excel file.
