Default Find & Replace Question

I'm using Word 2007 and the default setting for a search is "Down". This does
not make any sense to me as I always want the whole document searched. You
can change the setting in Search Options, but it has to be done every time.

Is there any way to change the default setting to "All"?

I look forward to your insights. Thankyou.

Default Find & Replace Question

I can't speak for Word 2007, but in previous versions, F&R defaults to Down
if text is selected (and then searches the selected text first and asks if
you want to search the rest).

That has solved the problem quite nicely.

Thanks
