Default Programmatically redact a word document

I am looking for a way to programmatically redact a word document. Does
anyone know if this can be done and if so what is the method for doing so?

For Word 2003 only, there is a redaction add-in that you can download from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en.

Thanks for the responce Jay but that is not what I am looking for. With the
redaction installed do you know of a way to programmatically redact a word
document.

No, I don't know that.

I can't imagine how you would programmatically (i.e., without human
intervention) select which passages to redact and which to leave visible,
unless the document has previously been marked up with bookmarks or
styles -- in which case you might as well use the add-in.

Default Programmatically redact a word document

I have been having a devil of a problem with that add-in. If it worked it
would be great but it doesn't. They came out with a new version that fixed
some of the problems but left the major bug, i.e., every time one executes
the program it adds another redaction pick to the right click button. (For
instance, after 1 execute of word there is 1 redaction pick on the right
click button, after 12 executions there are 12 redaction picks, etc. After 12
I removed the add-in. Although this version at least removes (the previous
one didn't) the picks remain. The way to completely remove it after removing
it from add/remove programs from control panel is to rename your normal.dot
to something else, e.g., normalsave.dot. Execute Word (which recreates
normal.dot. Open normalsave.dot . Go to tools, macro, macro, organizer, and
copy your styles, autotext, ect into your new normal.dot. The last thing to
do is vow not to use this add in until they fix it once and for all!!!
