In Word 2008 how can I change the default NOT to change 1/2 to small numbers?

Hello, Quilter60!

I will attempt to help you here. I'm not on a Macintosh (which I believe MS
Word 2008 version is for, correct?), but I'm making the assumption the
interface is silimar to the recent MS Office 2007 version on the PC. IF it
isn't that much different than Word 2007, what you're looking for is in the
"AutoCorrect..." options. I see from a screen shot that the Mac version still
has a menu bar, so check under the "Tools" menu.

Once you're at the "AutoCorrect..." options dialogue box, there should be a
tab that says "AutoFormat As You Type".

Once there, you should see a number of items you can turn on or off by
ticking the checkbox next to the option. One of them should be "Fractions
(1/2) with fraction character (1/2).
