Default In tracking changes, can I edite insertion date?

I would like to remove or edit the insertion date on a tracked change in my
document, without removing the change/insertion. I can open the reviewing
pane and highlight the month but when I tpye in a new month I get: "The
command is not available becuse the document is loced for edit." Help does
not show me how to get around that message. Thanks!! -Keller2525
